This course will expose the student to some of the new functionally and features Microsoft have included in this exciting new cross platform operating system.
An operating system that is equally at home on Mobile Phones, Desktops, notebooks and tablets alike. With features such as Scalable Menus, User Synchronization, Mobile Device management and corporate app stores allows your end users to access their data and apps from any device in a secure and manageable fashion.
With Windows 10, Microsoft have torn up the rule book when it comes to best practices. This one day session will give you an insight into a whole new way of managing your enterprise desktops and applications.
The course will look at features in the 4 core categories of Deployment, Security, Management, and Servicing.
Deployment will introduce you to the Configuration Designer (ICD) and the concept of Provisioning as an alternative to using MDT and/or SCCM for deploying Operating Systems and Application. We will also look at application deployment and the support for different types of applications
For Security, we will introduce the delegate to the new security initiatives at the heart of windows 10. These include, Device Security, App Security and Data security using tools such as Secure Boot, Device Guard, Windows Information Protection (WIP) and much more.
For Management, we will discover new ways to perform tradition tasks. While Group Policy is still the main management tool MDM and Configuration Service Providers (CSP) offer new alternatives to managing both Desktops and Mobile Devices alike. From the Anniversary edition (1607) Microsoft have now Included User Environment Virtualization (UE-V) as a completely new approach to User Profile management.
Within the Servicing Module we will discover Microsoft Approach to Servicing. Take a closer look at Current Branch (CB), Current Branch for Business (CBB), the Long Term Service Branch (LTSB) and the Insider Program and when to use them. We will also discuss the new Backup and Recovery options
