Architecting Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure with Anthos

Overview

This course will teach you how to use Anthos in modernizing, managing, and observing microservice-based applications and services that span multiple clusters in GCP, on-premises, or other cloud providers. This course is intended for technical engineers, architects, and administrators using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and Istio to create, integrate, or modernize solutions.

Objectives

• Deploy service mesh control-plane and proxies.
• Centrally observe, discover, and monitor your microservices-based applications across clusters.
• Define and manage multi-cluster services, using open-source service mesh and multiple control-plane topologies.
• Enable consistent policy enforcement across multi-cluster services.

• Explain each layer of the Anthos technology stack and the problems that it’s designed to address.
• Create, connect, and manage Anthos clusters from multiple deployment environments.
• Attach compatible clusters and explore/observe application behaviors.
• Load-balance clusters running in Google Cloud.

• Deploy and run applications on Anthos bare metal
• Create the infrastructure required to run Anthos
• Create user and admin clustsers
• Use observability best practices with monitoring, logging, and tracing.

• Install workloads on Cloud Run (fully managed) and Cloud Run for Anthos
• Configure and review logging, metrics, and monitoring for Serverless Computing Solutions on Anthos
• Identify phases of migration and workload types for migrations with Anthos
• Install Migrate for Anthos and migrate workloads
