Investigating Crypto Currencies

Overview

The course has been developed by UK leading professionals who actively investigate the use of cryptocurrencies in serious and organised crime, as well as complex investigations. Its purpose is to support investigators, cybersecurity experts, forensic accountants, compliance officers in financial institutions, and other professionals who require an in-depth comprehension of cryptocurrencies. Participants will acquire the necessary skills to track, trace, identify individual behaviour, and secure funds associated with cryptocurrencies.

Prerequisites

It is recommended that you have at least 1 year of experience in the cybersecurity domain in order to maximize course outcomes.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course you will;

• Understand the wider Crypto Currency arena and criminalisation of different currencies. Wallet explanations and review of other currencies.
• Understand the mechanics of a Crypto Currency Transaction

• Understand the presenting and briefing different entities in order to secure and preserve best evidence in relation to Crypto Currency investigations.
• Have an understanding of the fundamentals of Crypto Currency Investigation including confirmation of student learning through exercise debrief
