Overview
Stakeholder work is where complex decisions either stick or unravel. Networked outcomes, reputational exposure and strained trust raise the stakes for legitimacy, fairness, clear boundaries and credible follow-through. In this 3-hour mastery workshop, participants bring live stakeholder challenges and work through a roundtable scenario with escalating scrutiny. The session focuses on prioritizing trade-offs, clarifying influence and expectations, repairing trust quickly when confidence dips, and landing decisions that hold in real work, strengthened through peer challenge. Participants leave with straightforward mechanisms that keep stakeholder practice clear and consistent in daily work, strengthening alignment, trust and delivery confidence.
Prerequisites
Participants should have:
- Experience managing complex projects, programmes, or organisational change.
- An understanding of stakeholder mapping, communication planning, and leadership dynamics.
- The ability to apply analytical and relational skills in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
Target audience
- Programme directors, senior project managers, and transformation leaders responsible for stakeholder alignment.
- Senior professionals who influence decision-making across departments or organizations.
- Leaders mentoring others in advanced stakeholder engagement or organizational collaboration.

- Apply reflective questioning to reframe assumptions and uncover new perspectives in stakeholder expectations and decisions.
- Design visible habits and routines that embed stakeholder management strategies into daily work.
Outline

- Stakeholder lab: A roundtable scenario with a trust escalation forces trade-offs, boundary calls and credible repair under scrutiny.
- Peer challenge lab: Structured challenge exposes assumptions, sharpens trade-offs, and keeps decisions credible in real work.
- Stakeholder management for today and beyond: Simple mechanisms are set to keep stakeholder practice transparent, fair and consistent over time.
Exams and assessments
There are no formal examinations for this workshop. Participants will complete practical exercises, peer feedback activities, and stakeholder engagement simulations to demonstrate mastery of advanced influence and coalition-building techniques.
Hands-on learning
Learners will engage in real-world simulations that replicate complex stakeholder dynamics, including cross-functional collaboration and high-level negotiations. Guided reflection and group discussions will help participants evaluate their communication strategies, influence effectiveness, and long-term engagement planning.
