Overview
This two-day course provides a best practice training skills foundation for subject matter experts who are, or will be, required to deliver training either to internal colleagues or external customers. Based on the award winning TAP methodology, the course is an excellent way to learn best practice in training delivery.
Prerequisites
For subject matter experts who are required to deliver training courses.
Target Audience
This course is for subject matter experts in any discipline who deliver training on a part-time basis.
Objectives
You will plan and deliver a training session that is evaluated against the TAP® training delivery fundamentals guidelines.
Assessment
The assessment is in two parts:
- Part one: feedback on your assessed session and action planning based on the feedback
- Part two: after the course, you will implement actions agreed with the trainer and have them signed off by your manager. This confirmation will be sent to QA.
QA will check the submission and once confirmed, will release the TAP® Learning Digital Badge in recognition of successful course completion and application of new skills.

Getting Started (pre-course reading)
Before the workshop, you will complete a pre-course preparation document, which will ask you to:

Session 2: How to introduce a training session

Setting a route map for the session

Capturing the learner’s prior knowledge, skills, and attitude
Session 3: How to deliver and reinforce learning
- Delivering appropriate content in a logical and interactive way
- Consolidating the learning
Session 4: How to assess learning and end the session positively
- Ensuring learning has taken place before the event close
- Closing the session
Obtaining your TAP Learning Digital Badge
QA will issue the Digital badge via Credly when you have completed part two of the assessment.
When you have completed 9 or more days of TAP® training courses and been awarded the associated digital badges, you can apply for a TAP® Learning Excellence Badge.
