Kara Jones is a seasoned global HR executive with over 15 years of experience across employee relations, HR strategy, organizational development, and transformation. As Head of Business HR at Wolt, she leads a global team supporting more than 13,000 employees in 30 countries, driving both short- and long-term people strategies across multiple business units including Operations, Marketing, and New Verticals. Known for her strategic mindset and ability to lead through complex change, Kara has held senior HR leadership roles at DoorDash and Macy’s Inc., where she led national HR teams, championed DEI initiatives, and developed future-focused workplace policies. She combines data-driven thinking with deep empathy, helping leaders scale inclusive, high-performing cultures in fast-moving environments.
Kara holds a Master’s in Human Resource Development from Xavier University and is an alum of the McKinsey Leadership Academy. Based in Helsinki and originally from Chicago, she brings a truly global lens to modern HR leadership.
