Introduction

Usability is a trending topic in the testing industry. Not only does it help organizations better engage with their customers, but also exercises their corporate responsibility by way of inclusive and accessible practices.

With organizations becoming more customer-centric, and being increasingly impacted by accessibility legislation and guidelines, this course answers their call, providing the usability skills that are essential to any design delivery team.

In this course, you will learn the fundamental principles of usability. You will attain the knowledge on planning and preparing for usability testing, and how to select the most appropriate testing location and participants.

This course also teaches the application of usability reviews, which enables you to formulate and propose the most effective usability testing approach. By the end of the course, you’ll know how to approach usability, user experience and accessibility from different viewpoints.

The license gives you 12 months access to the online self-study course, providing 14 hours of study, practical activities and quizzes to complete at your own pace.

• Identify and classify the severity of usability risks and potential accessibility violations in a given product during any stage of a development cycle.
• Cite relevant standards for usability, user experience, and accessibility and verify their implementation in a given product.

• Design and monitor the implementation of a test plan for achieving stated usability, user experience and accessibility goals.
• Explain the rationale, process and results from their usability testing program.

Prerequisites

In order to take the ISTQB Usability Testing Certification exam, participants need to have completed the ISTQB Foundation Level Certificate.
