To earn the CompTIA Security+ qualification, candidates must first pass the CompTIA SY0-601 exam. This verifies that a candidate has the knowledge and skills needed to assess security in an enterprise environment and recommend/ implement appropriate solutions.

Successful practitioners will also have a clear understanding of how to monitor and secure hybrid environments, follow applicable laws and policies, and identify, analyze, and respond to security incidents and events.
